Winning streak for FM Conway with Maidstone United FC
Sevenoaks-based infrastructure services company FM Conway has won a £400,000 contract to construct a new north stand terrace for Maidstone United Football Club in Kent.
The deal marks a return to the club’s Gallagher Stadium for the company, which delivered a £550,000 extension project for the main east stand last year. Following on from Maidstone United’s promotion to the Vanarama National League at the end of last season, this latest contract win will see FM Conway working alongside structural steel construction specialists REIDsteel to erect a new north stand terrace. The additional stand will bring the stadium’s total capacity to 4,170 people in line with National League requirements.
FM Conway will deliver the piling, foundation, drainage and hard landscaping works for the new stand, as well as constructing a new turnstile entrance. Thanks to the construction of a temporary earthwork access ramp to the stadium from the street behind it, local teams will be able to continue using the pitch throughout the upgrade works.
